Rachel joined the WUNDER Lab in 2013.  Her research focuses on the neurological and socio-environmental mechanisms of cognitive, attention, and executive function outcomes in children born very preterm, with a particular interest in pathways to risk. Rachel is responsible for statistical analysis, manuscript writing, and assists members of the WUNDER team with the 5 year follow-up visits. Additionally, Rachel is working with Drs. Rogers and Smyser to develop the neurodevelopmental assessment protocol for the next wave of WUNDER follow-up visits. Rachel received her Bachelors with a Double Major in Psychology and Sociology from University of Canterbury, New Zealand; her Masters with Distinction in Psychology from University of Canterbury, New Zealand; and her PhD in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, USA.
